I really liked this theme especially for a little guy! This was for my youngest son’s first birthday… I wonder if you can recycle themes? Again, I didn’t only stick to the “theme” but stayed with a color scheme, as well… This one was obviously red and blue! 
I think soda bottles are a fun way to stay with a theme. I also used the letter “S” cut outs as some easy table decorations!
** On a first birthday I think it is fun to have a photo mat with a little message to the first birthday boy or girl! In the center I put a photo of the birthday boy with cake all over his face!
** Cupcakes are an easy way to feed lots of people!
I decorated with giant letter “S’s” everywhere! Again, sticking with the color scheme…
** I feel like Sandra Lee when I talk about table scape, but we pushed our table to the side so it wasn’t in the middle of everyone and then set the food and photo album up so people could access it…
*The teacher in me made little “letter/name” hats for all of our guests… Adults too…..
