I hear that Leprechauns attract other Leprechauns… If that’s true then these cuties will surely help your little ones catch a lucky fellow who can lead you to his pot of gold…  To make these I traced some shapes for my kids to cut out…  Black triangle shoes, white rectangle legs, green rectangle bloomers, yellow rectangle shirt with black rectangle belts, yellow rectangle sleeves, white rectangle arms, white face, green hat.  I let them cut out all their pieces, draw their faces and socks, we used ripped paper to make the beard, and they drew their own flowers for the hats…  They were very easy to make and the kids had a lot of fun making them!  Maybe we’ll see you at that pot of gold!

St. Patrick’s Day Craft- Leprechaun Craft

I think maybe I’ve created  monsters AKA the “S Brothers” around my house… It seems that any holiday that is approaching brings a new sense of excitement, wonder and maybe even a little “obsession”…  This month of course it is St. Patrick’s Day, but my boys call it Leprechaun’s Day. They are BEYOND excited to trap a Leprechaun and are pretty convinced they can do it!  I am hoping so because that means we’ll be inheriting some gold!  They have been asking to make Leprechauns since last St. Patrick’s Day so I figured I better give in…  I think they turned out rather cute!  Pretty easy to make, we use construction paper, glue and scissors…  Let me know if you capture a Leprechaun- these cuties might help you…

Welcome Spring….

20 Mar

The S brothers believe that because today is the first day of spring the weather will be warm from this day forward!  They think that it will not snow again, that the flowers will bloom and that we can start planting our garden (at G’s).  I’ve tried to explain the equinox to them (HA HA) and that today is just a “day” but they are permanently optimistic and I think I just let them be!  We did a little “brainstorming” about what spring will bring… Flowers, sunshine, warmer weather, puddles, baseball, rain and rainbows…  We’ve been very into rainbows since St. Patrick’s Day so I thought we’d just keep the theme going…  I call it “A Rainbow of Fruit Flavors”  the heathy version….   WE ATE EVERY LAST PIECE OF FRUIT… YUMMY!
